Class locations are determined by the district based on student enrollment. Transportation to and from school must be provided by parents. Kindergarten is available for children born on or before September 1, 2012. JK is a developmental kinder program for children whose parents prefer to delay their start. TK accommodates students who turn five September 2 – December 2, 2017. All kindergarten classes are full day classes with extra developmental playtime built into the school day. February is School of Choice Month **NEW PROCEDURE**
February is School of Choice month. The district no longer prints hard copies of these forms as the process is completed electronically. Electronic School of Choice applications are available (both on the district website and our school website) for parents who would like their children to attend Santa Susana for the 2017-2018 school year. We will be accepting applications for all grades. Parent information meetings and school tours are scheduled from 9-10AM each Tuesday in February. Please remember that the school of choice process is for new students who do NOT live in our attendance area. The kindergarten enrollment process will begin in March.
New Attendance Awards
A perfect attendance award is traditionally given in schools as a way to honor students who have not missed any days of school or been late to class. Being at school consistently is linked to student’s academic success. Starting this semester, we are going to begin awarding students for their outstanding attendance efforts. Being here every day ready to learn makes a difference!
Ed Foundation Gala-Save the Date
Homework help is available every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30-5:30 (except school holidays and breaks) in the Children's Room. This is a drop in, first come, first served program for elementary school children who need help in any subject.
